Send and Receive Money

Connect Branch to your favorite financial apps to send and receive money.

You can now connect Branch to other financial apps to easily send and receive money from your account. This is thanks to our integration with Plaid, which allows us easy and secure ways to connect Branch with other apps.

How to connect Branch to another app: Venmo example

While the steps will vary by app, here's an example of how to connect Branch with Venmo:

{potentially add screenshots from the support article linked below}

  1. Open up the app you want to connect Branch to and select Settings, then Payment Methods. At the bottom of Payment Methods you have the option to add a new bank account or card. Click on the Add Bank or Card and select Bank.
  2. Click Instant Verification, where you'll receive an agreement for allowing Venmo to use Plaid to verify and link your Branch account. Click Continue twice to proceed.
  3. This brings you to a Select your bank page. Type "Branch" in the search box and it will bring up Branch with a leaf logo. (That's us!)
  4. After selecting Branch, enter the phone number listed with your Branch account.
  5. You'll receive a text message with a Branch code to enter. After entering the code, you'll put in your personal Branch passcode (the security passcode you created when first setting up your Branch Wallet.)
  6. After entering the passcode, you'll be asked to click Next to finish linking your account and then return back to Venmo. To confirm the account, click Add.

Your Branch account has now been added! **Please note that it will appear as Evolve Bank and Trust Personal Checking, the name of the FDIC-insured bank that backs Branch.
